      Regular steady chant is good for regular enemies and in PvP since most players dodge most of your spells but crystal sage staff chant is best for bosses and mini bosses where you need to slam a big spell combo.

        You need to use 56 FP to benefit from the regular steady chant and 75 FP to benefit from the crystal sage staff's steady chant. Do note that you benefit 12.5% after 56 FP for regular chants. And 40% after 75 FP for crystal sage staff meaning:
        Profit1=1.125 (x-56)
        Profit2=1.4 (x-75)

        Profit 1 for regular chants
        Profite 2 for crystal staff chants.
        Check your combo's total FP cost and plug in to see which value is higher to choose the staff.

          I've Han an issue where I activate steady chant but my staff won't turn blue. It still has damage buff but now I can't tell how long it last cause the color indication is gone.

            Is Steady Chant always on when the weapon is equipped? Or do you need to activate it? My tutorial didn't mention steady chant. I tried RT, which activates the special on my sword, but it just swung the staff like a club.

              It does not improve buffing weapons. (Atleast for the sorcerer's staff and probably the others than the crystal sage's staff, which i haven't checked.)
